What I collect, and what I do with it.

AsksFirst is a one-person practice. There is no marketing team, no data broker relationship and no advertising pixel on this site. This page says exactly what happens to what you send me.

The short version. I collect what you type into the booking form, plus the basic request data any website receives: your IP address, country and browser. The site also counts page views, and sets no cookies to do it. I use what you send me to decide whether I can work with you. I do not sell it, I do not add you to anything you did not ask for, and I delete it after twelve months.

Who is responsible for your data

AsksFirst, a one-person practice based in Texas, United States. Contact: hello@asksfirst.com. The legal entity behind AsksFirst is named at the foot of this page.

What I collect

This site counts page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, so I can tell whether anything I write is being read. It tells me how many people opened a page and roughly where in the world they were. It does not tell me who you are, and I cannot tie a page view to a person. Checked in a browser on this site: it sets no cookies, and neither does anything else here. There is no advertising tag, no retargeting pixel and no third-party cookie.

Why I collect it

Who else sees it

Two service providers process your submission on my behalf, and no one else:

My mailbox is Google Workspace. Beyond those, your details are not shared, sold, rented, licensed or disclosed to anyone: not to a partner, not to a lead list, not to a marketing platform. If a court or a law required disclosure I would comply, and I would tell you unless I were forbidden to.

How long I keep it

Booking requests are deleted twelve months after I receive them. If we work together, engagement records are kept for seven years, because tax and professional records have to be. Monthly-finding subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, and every one of those emails carries a one-click unsubscribe link.

What you can ask me to do

Email hello@asksfirst.com and ask me to send you a copy of what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. I will do it within thirty days, and there is no form to fill in. You do not need to live in a particular place to ask. I apply this to everyone.

Where this operates

I take clients in the United States only at the moment. The site is reachable worldwide, so if you submit the form from elsewhere your details will be processed in the United States; submit it only if you are content with that.

Children

This is a service sold to businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and I do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Security, stated honestly

Your submission travels over HTTPS and is stored by the providers named above under their own security controls. During an engagement I never hold your credentials, your API keys or your card. You sign in yourself and you pay your AI provider directly. What I cannot promise is that any system is impossible to breach, so I will not claim it.

Changes

If this page changes materially I will change the date below. I will not quietly broaden what I do with data you already sent me.
